Compensation: Starting at $52,000, plus $300/month medical stipend and mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate

K-Bar Inc. operates five self-service laundry locations in the Anniston and Oxford area under the Washin Laundry and LaundroMax brands. We are hiring our first full-time Operations Manager to take real operational load off the owner. This is a hands-on role, not a desk job — you will be in the stores regularly doing the work yourself: picking up and delivering supplies, stocking vending machines, handling parts inventory, and keeping all five locations running.

This is not a desk job and it is not a purely supervisory role. You will plan your own day, doing hands-on work across all five locations: walking the stores weekly, stocking vending, handling parts inventory, and coordinating our cleaning and maintenance crews. Most repairs are handled in-house — electrical work always goes to a licensed electrician, and the owner makes the final call on any outside trade.

You must be comfortable with regular physical work (lifting, loading, stocking), able to plan an efficient route between five locations, and able to work independently with little day-to-day supervision.

Store Operations

Own day-to-day operations, cleanliness, and customer experience across all five locations

Walk every location at least weekly and report condition, damage, leaks, vandalism, and machine issues

Stock and load vending machines on a weekly cycle; pick up supplies and spare parts; deliver supplies between locations

Plan efficient routes and combine tasks into single trips between locations

Inventory & Vendor Coordination

Maintain parts and store-supply inventory in a mobile inventory system; prepare purchase orders for approval

Coordinate the cleaning crew, maintenance technicians, and outside vendors; issue and track work orders

Serve as first point of contact for on-site issues — assess what our own people can handle and bring the rest to the owner with a recommendation

Repairs — please read closely

Most repairs are handled in-house. Calling an outside trade is the exception, not the first move.

Electrical work always goes to a licensed electrician — no exceptions.

The owner makes the final call on any job sent to an outside trade.

Customer & Reporting

Assist with customer messages and refund requests

Produce a simple weekly operations summary and attend a weekly review with the owner

Help improve and follow written SOPs

Added over time (not day one)

Cash collection, ATM servicing, independent refund approval, and responding to public reviews transfer gradually as trust is established — these are not day-one duties.

The position requires approximately 40 hours of work per week  offering a flexible schedule with the majority of tasks occurring between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. The job involves working across 5 Calhoun County laundromats, a warehouse in Lenlock, and an office, along with some work-from-home tasks.
